“WHERE INNOVATION MEETS DESIGN AND SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT”

The United Kingdom boasts a significant number of reservoirs and dams, serving purposes such as raw water storage, recreational amenities, and flood alleviation. Specifically, there are over 2,000 large raised reservoirs in England, 800 in Scotland, and more than 300 in Wales. In England and Wales, reservoirs are governed by the Reservoirs Act 1975, while in Scotland, they fall under the Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011. These pieces of legislation impose rigorous conditions for reservoir operations to ensure optimal safety levels.

Regulation Approved

The Hydrasafe™ actuator offers a solution for water industry assets governed by the Reservoirs Act 1975, or in Scotland, the Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011.

ADAPTABLE DESIGN

Multiple areas of application including Reservoir Towers, Chambers & Culverts, Tunnels & Service Reservoirs, Aqueducts, Pumping Stations, and Treatment Works.

The onus of maintaining reservoir safety rests with the operators. The Hydrasafe™ actuator offers a solution for a broad spectrum of water industry assets where confined space entry poses operational risks, maintenance deficits, and financial concerns. In situations where power for an electric actuator is unavailable or cost-prohibitive, Hydrasafe™ emerges as the ideal solution.

Potential areas of application include assets such as Reservoir Towers, Chambers & Culverts, Tunnels & Service Reservoirs, Aqueducts, Pumping Stations, and Treatment Works. In essence, any asset facing challenging access issues or where power is not a viable alternative can benefit from this solution.

Hydrasafe

An award winning, carbon efficient solution that provides safe, remote operation of valves and penstocks.

The remote hydraulic actuator solution is suitable for valves on clean and wastewater assets contained in confined spaces, difficult to access or dangerous atmospheres. This innovational product allows for valves to be operated remotely from a safer location. Examples include supply, scour, or compensation valves located on assets such reservoir valve towers and culverts”
