A&L MEICA is seeking a proactive and hands-on Project Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong electrical background and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions, ideally within the Water Utility Sector.

What we are looking for:

As a Project Engineer, you will:

  • Deliver and supervise electrical installations across a variety of projects.
  • Conduct site surveys and ensure compliance with client and industry standards, including WIMES.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to meet project timelines and quality objectives.
  • Support the preparation of RAMS and ensure adherence to Health & Safety procedures.
  • Liaise with clients and subcontractors, maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and contribute to cost-effective project planning.
  • Ensure all work aligns with our Quality Management System and company policies.


What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • A degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering.
  • 17th or 18th Edition Test & Inspection certification (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and industrial installations.
  • Passion for instrumentation and control circuits.
  • Understanding of 4-20mA control techniques.
  • Familiarity with PLC hardware/software and DSEAR (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • A full, clean UK driving license.
  • Willingness to travel across Scotland, the UK, and Ireland.
